לידה היא הכל בבת אחת - עוצמתית, מדהימה, אקסטטית, מפחידה, מעוררת השראה ומלאה באהבה.

אולי זו הסיבה שילדתי שבע כאלה - אני עדיין לא מצליחה להתגבר על יראת הכבוד!

כאמא לילדים המדהימים האלה, חוויתי (כמעט) כל סוג של לידה. לצד עבודתי עם לידה טובה, התברכתי בהזדמנות ללמוד לעומק על הדבר יוצא הדופן הזה שאנו קוראים לו לידה

איך הכל התחיל

בשנת 2017 הזמנתי את ברברה הרפר לבית החולים סנט ג'וזף בירושלים כדי להכשיר מיילדות מכל רחבי העיר. אט אט, לידות במים החלו למצוא את דרכן למחלקות הלידה, בתמיכת בריכות "בריכת לידה בקופסה" שסיפקתי. עד 2020, בית החולים שיבא התקין בריכת לידה אקטיבית חדישה ומחוברת (שיוצרה על ידי חברי היקר קית' בלונדון).

בשנת 2022, סיפקתי לבית החולים בילינסון חבלי לידה, שרפרפים וכלי לידה טבעיים אחרים. משם, המשכתי לספק מגוון רחב של ציוד לידה טבעי לבתי חולים ברחבי הארץ.

מעולם לא יצאתי לדרך לספק בריכות לידה מקצועיות. קודם הייתי זמרת, אחר כך אמא, ואז - אחרי שעליתי ארצה - פתאום מצאתי את עצמי בחודש השישי להריון, מוכנה ללידה ביתית במים... אבל בלי בריכה.

הייתה בריכת ילדים זמינה, אבל זה הרגיש יותר כמו לידה לתוך שלולית - ולמען האמת, זה לא היה בטוח. אז חיפשתי באינטרנט וגילתי את בריכת הלידה המפוארת בקופסה. קניתי לא אחת, אלא ארבע, והתחלתי להשכיר אותן ל"אמהות מים" אחרות.

עד מהרה, עבודתי התרחבה לסיוע בהבאת לידות במים לבתי חולים

מעבר לפיזי

בסופו של דבר, עיצבתי את הבריכה המקצועית שלי: ה-Easypool. נוחה, עמוקה, משתלמת ובטוחה לשימוש חד פעמי, היא תמכה בכמעט 1,000 נשים בלידות ביתיות ובתי חולים - ועזרה להן לגלות את כוח הריפוי של לידה במים.

אבל המשכתי לשמוע שני דברים שוב ושוב:

"למה רק שימוש אחד? זה לא יכול להחזיק מעמד 2 או 3?"

"מה עם כל פסולת ה-PVC הזו? זה נורא לסביבה!"

אז הקשבתי, והחלפתי את שניהם.

התוצאה? בריכת אוויה - בריכת הלידה הראשונה בעולם שהיא מתכלה ב-100% ומתכלה

This is my second time using the birth pool from leyda tova sheli and couldn't recommend it enough! It's a totally different experience. The first time using it, between contractions I literaly felt like I was in a spa, so calm and comforting in the water, the water just took away all my weight and any pain and discomfort I had between contractions. And actually birthing into the pool just felt like the water saved me because it would've been so much more painful out of the water.

Even after the birth, to stay in the water for a bit longer and be still in a warm environment made such a huge difference.

As for the sherut, it was amazing. We got the pool just a day or two after ordering it and if we had any questions along the way, they were all answered quickly and clearly and when we were done it was picked up from our house as soon as we were ready to give it back (we took the rented option).

Having the birthing pool made a huge huge huge difference in my labor. I was exhausted and in so much pain and when my midwife finally told me I could use the pool I experience so much relief and relaxation and deeper connection to my body's movement. I got some much needed sleep that I couldn't get before in between contractions and during contractions the pool comforted me. The actual pool is so sturdy and supportive I remember the joy of first getting in and feeling like it was a warm supportive hug and like the best pool I couldn't have even imagined for myself.
